What is the Karagwe Kingdom?
Karagwe was a powerful Haya kingdom that dominated northwest Tanzania from the 15th century. It was famous for sophisticated iron smelting, cattle herding, and banana cultivation. The Bweranyange royal palace ruins are the most significant historical site.
Are roan antelope really rare?
Yes — Tanzania has relatively few roan antelope. Rumanyika is one of a handful of locations where you have a realistic chance of spotting them on a game drive.
