The staff were the perfect combination of being really friendly and relaxed but also very professional and thorough. They always planned the dives to perfection to maximise the conditions. The reefs around Mafia are some of the healthiest and richest, with incredible diversity of marine life including turtles, giant rays, lobster, and huge groupers.
Big Blu is staffed by local guides who know the waters, marine life, and culture inside out — not just seasonal dive masters. The equipment is good and the staff maintain a very high standard of safety. The food was delicious and fresh every day.
The perfect spot. Rooms are clean and nice with a perfect beach location, and the facilities are as nice as higher-priced places on the island. Diving here was simply outstanding.
