Thomas and Laila make a wonderful team and nothing was too much trouble for them, making our entire stay a delightful combination of German precision and Tanzanian warmth. The food was fantastic — a really nice mix between German/European and Tanzanian. Everything is fresh; they even make the bread and salad dressing themselves.
Our stay exceeded my every expectation. The bungalow was very comfortable, the staff were exceptionally hospitable, the food fabulous, and the setting can't be beat. My stay at Blue Canoe was the highlight of my trip to Tanzania.
An eco gem on Lake Nyasa. It was amazing to see the care they are taking to make everything eco-friendly. The accommodation is basic but extremely comfortable. Blue Canoe is a gem right on the banks of Lake Nyasa.
