June – October
The dry season (Jun–Oct) makes trails more accessible and waterfall hikes comfortable. The park can also be visited year-round — rain makes the waterfalls more dramatic but trails muddier.

Budget guide + park fees from $50/day
Mid-range
Guided day trip with transport from $100–$200/person

Do I need to be very fit?
The Sanje Waterfall hike is moderate — good general fitness is enough. Longer multi-day routes into the mountains are more demanding. Talk to your operator about the right route for your fitness level.
Can I do a day trip from Dar?
Yes, but it is a long day — 4 hours each way. An overnight stay near the park gate is strongly recommended. Mang'ula has simple but comfortable guesthouses.
